The Pick of the Primers..

Having oily skin, primer for me, is an absolute must-have product.

There are a lot of great primers out but in general, I think Urban Decay tend to outshine every other brand when it comes to locking a product in place.

About 6 months ago, I decided to invest in the Urban Decay Naked palette and with it, came a mini of the Primer Potion. At the time, I didn't think much of it. However, I decided to give it a go and I instantly fell in love.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation | Review

Hello lovelies!
Firstly, happy Friday! I hope you's all have a lovely weekend!

Today is going to be a review!
Recently, I was looking for a new foundation (Because I obviously don't have enough already! Right?!) and I seen this new release from L'Oreal.

I was intrigued as I had seen a few advertisements about this and how it claims that it is lighter than water on the skin.

This Or That Tag | Beauty Edition

Hello lovelies!
How are we all today?

Recently I was looking through my blogposts and realised that I hadn't done a tag in quite a while so I decided to do one!

I was tagged by the ever so lovely Niamh, whose blog you can find here! Go and check her out! She tagged everyone to do it so, I thought I would! Here it goes, this is the "This Or That" Tag!

Blush or Bronzer?
I'd have to say Bronzer. I have quite a lot of natural redness in my face so I don't need anymore! haha. Plus I love bronzer!

Lipgloss or Lipstick?
Lipstick completely. I don't really ever wear lipgloss as I hate when my hair gets caught in the lipgloss! Definitely lipstick!

Eyeliner or Mascara?
Ohh. That's a toughie! I'd have to say mascara, purely just because it makes me look more awake.

Foundation or Concealer?
Foundation all the way. I honestly love foundation too much!

Neutral or Coloured Eye shadow?
Neutral. The Urban Decay palette means that I can create so many looks with just one palette! Love.

Pressed or loose Eye shadow?
I prefer pressed but don't really mind.

Long or Short Nails?
Tbh, I don't like really long nails. As long as the nails are strong and healthy, that's the main thing!

Acrylic or natural?
I prefer natural!

Bright or Dark?
Bright neons for Summer and Warmer toned polishes for Winter!

Flower or No Flowers?
No flowers because I am TERRIBLE at nail art! haha.

Jeans or Sweats?
Sweats at home but Jeans everywhere else!

Long or Short sleeves?
Depends on the weather!

Dresses or Skirts?
Dresses! I don't like skirts as much.

Scarves or Hats?
BOTH! haha. If I had to choose, hats because I love beanies too much!

Necklaces or Bracelets?

Curly or Straight?
I have wavy hair but prefer it straight. Although, it's super damaging for my already bleached hair!

Bun or Ponytail?
Bun! I love top-knot buns!

Bobby Pins or Butterfly clips?
Bobby pins! Although mine always go missing..

Hair Spray or Hair Gel?
Hair Spray, although I should use hair gel to protect my hair from heat, I always forget!

Long or Short?
Long! It's more of a pain to style, but I love long hair!

Light or Dark?
Mine's both! haha. I have ombred hair, but dark if I had to choose!

Rain or Shine?
Shine! :)

Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate! YUM.

Summer or Winter?
Winter! I love how cosy it is!

Autumn or Spring?
Autumn! The crunch of the leaves, the crisps air..everything! I love Autumn!

Alrighty, so that's the tag!
It was quite a long blogpost but I like these kind of blogposts!

Hope you's liked and..I TAG YOU'S ALL!

The Weekend Post | Week 5

Hello lovelies!
And a happy Sunday to you's all.

Long time, no speak! How are you's all doing?
So, I decided to have a little break from blogging for a week or two and to be honest, now I am keener than ever to start back again!

So, the last weekend post I left you's with, I was trying to decide what career path I was wanting to go down. Well, I've decided (Finally!) and I am beginning to build the path of my future. It's quite refreshing!

This week I've also been spending a lot of time with my family and I have to say, I've loved it. Sometimes we get so caught up in life, we forget to sit down with old friends/family and have a chat! I've really loved catching up with distant relatives! The one quote that stuck with me this week was one I instagrammed (LINK! *Cough Cough*).

The quote was "You have as many hours in the day as Beyonce!" and as Bey is one of my greatest idols, It really make my think that I need to constantly push myself to work harder, even if I think I'm giving 100%, someone is giving 110% and I want to prove to myself, also!

SO, goal time!

This week, I'm going to continue my career plans, for one.
Also, I'm going to start setting aside 5 minutes in the morning to think a few positive things. Start the day off on the right foot!

What are your little challenges?

The Weekend Post | Week 4

Hello and happy Sunday my lovelies!
It's another installation of the Weekend Post!

This week has been a funny one. It's been one with a lot of mixed emotions. I've been deciding what I want to do with the rest on my life and with that comes a lot of responsibility.
It's so difficult to say what you want to be when you're older, I know for me even now at 18, I still can't decide! I have so many different options and I have to make that decision on my own, which is scary!

The one thing I've had to remind myself is, well, this:

A lot of the time, we aspire to be as successful as someone else, either in the media or in our personal lives, and that's great but I think we tend to forget the struggle a person has gone through to get there. I know that whatever career I choose that it will take a lot of time, determination and strength but I am ready and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me!

So, challenge's..

I want to decide what I want to do as a career.
I want to put myself out more and be outgoing this week.

Let me know what your little challenges are for this week!

Building the foundations..

Hello lovelies,

Today I thought that I'd start a new series on here.
We already have the Weekend post which from now on will be going up every Sunday!
But today I thought I'd start a new series in which I talk you through my favourite products for everyday. So, I thought I'd start of with Foundation!

So, if you are subscribed to me on YouTube (Link Here! Wink Wink, Nudge nudge!) then you'll know that I change my foundation like the weather! I love so many foundations and it honestly depends on how my skin is that day, as it can be very temperamental! So, I choose 2 because, well..I couldn't choose between them!

So, the first foundation that I love is MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. I got this not so long ago and I love it because it's fairly similar to MAC's Studio Sculpt however, it's less of a gel formula and it's not as heavy coverage. However, longevity is just the same! I love it for days when my skin is misbehaving and nothing looks right, I pop this on and I instantly feel that my skin looks 100 times better. I'm in shade NW15, which is perfect for me as I have quite a lot of natural redness in my skin which this cancels out.

MAC's Viva Glam Nicki | Review

Hello lovelies,
Happy Friday! Today is going to be another review! Seeing a pattern here on Fridays? ;)

Recently, MAC deicded to collaborate with Nicki Minaj on a collection. I had seen this around the Beauty blogosphere/YouTube land and had wanted to try it so, when in Rome!

When I went to MAC, I hadn't actually planned to get this lipstick. I couldn't decide between it and MAC's 'Candy Yum Yum', another famous lippy, but I thought it was a little too bright for me, so opted for the safer option!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month | Get Involved

Hello lovelies,
Today is a double blogpost from me!

It's a slightly different one from normal though. As many of you's may already know, this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honour of that Nails inc. have started a campaign to raise money and awareness both at the same time!

The campaign is known as, 'Spot the Pinkie' which basically means that you paint your pinkie pink! It's simple! Nails inc. have collaborated with Poppy Delevingne and Matthew Williamson to bring out 2 limited edition nail polishes in which, for every bottle sold, £1 goes straight to the charity!

Poppy Delevingne Limited Edition: Available Here.
Matthew Williamson Limited Edition: Available Here.

Of course, if you can't get to a nails inc. counter, you can always paint your nails pink anyway to raise awareness!

I'm taking part! Are you?

The Weekend Post | Week 3

Hello lovelies and happy Saturday to you's all!

So, it's that time of the week again, where I sit in bed on a cold autumn morning and just ramble about anything and everything.

Courtesy of pinterest.com

Last week, I had given myself the challenge to swap out all my old Skincare for the winter and the not let anxiety get to me. Well, the skincare part was fine and I am gradually making little steps for the anxiety, which is all positive. Not only have I been doing that, but I've also been doing a little bit of Winter shopping which is making the transition from Summer to Autumn/Winter, that little bit more bearable!

In the spirit of change, I've also been trying to redecorate my room, which is proving a bigger task than I first realised but, I've got new lights, mirrors etc. and I'm hoping to pick up a new bedside cabinet this week, so I'll do a little blogpost when it's finally finished.

So, challenges!
This week, my main goal is to get my room all decorated and completely finished, but I also want to sort out all my make-up.

What are your little challenges this week?

Origins 'Make a Difference Plus' | Review

Hello lovelies!
How are you's today?

So, today I thought I'd do a little review of my favourite moisturiser.
It's Origins' 'Make A Difference Plus'.

Having oily skin, I've never really been a big fan of moisturiser as I always thought that it would make my skin worse and cause more breakouts, however, one day I decided to trek to the Origins counter and explain to the ladies on the counter. I knew that I wanted a moisturiser for around my eyes, as they tend to get quite dry but I also wanted something that would nourish the rest of my skin just enough!

So, I explained to the girl, and she recommended this. I have to admit, at first, I was a little sceptical, as I didn't think that there could be such a product that nourishes dry areas and oily skin at the same time! But, I have to say, it does exactly that!

Firstly, is the ingredients. I personally love Origins' products in general, not only because they do exactly what they say, but they are all 100% natural and are Paraben and Sulphate-free which is great. You don't want to put products on your face which are going to do more harm than good!

Not only that, but one of the main ingredients, Rose of Jericho, is incredible benefitting for your skin. It increases skin hydration and repairs any damage from the sun, which can be a pesky little bugger! Other ingredients include Watermelon and Lychee extract which are both moisturising. If you're wanting a moisturiser which locks in the moisture for a day after, this is brilliant.

I tend to use this after I apply my Hydraluron, which is a pre-moisturising step that increases the skins ability to absorb the moisturiser. I couldn't recommend this enough!

Overall though, this moisturiser has became my favourite and I have fallen in love with it. I would recommend this if you have extremely dry or combination skin with dry patches. It is truly brilliant.

Make a Difference Plus is available from here.
Hydraluron is available here.

Have you tried Make a Difference Plus?

A New Hair Day

Hello lovelies,
So, recently..I got my hair cut.
I know this isn't very interesting but I really wanted to blog it for some reason so, here I am. Blogging it!

So, as some of you's may know, my hair is ombred. I personally, love my ombre. However, I was beginning to get a bit bored of my natural brown colour, so I decided to lighten my hair.

I spoke to my stylist and I decided to go for it. My stylist actually said to me when I was getting it coloured that I have never been the kind of person to be afraid of changing my hairstyle and she's right. She's known me for years and I 100% trust her, which makes the decision to go a different colour/style SO much easier!

So, my stylist brought out the colour board with all the shades and I choose one! The base colour I choose was a Medium Ash Blonde, but because my hair was so dark, it was going to turn out a nice light brown, which is what I wanted!

That is my new hair! I didn't get the ends dyed blonde, this time because I wanted to give my hair a little bit of a break but, I am going to be getting them done in the next few weeks!

This was just a quick, short little blogpost!

The Weekend Post | Week 2

Hello lovelies,

So, It's week 2 of these little weekend posts/challenges.
Last week, I decided that I wanted to stop sweating the small stuff and not let anxiety get to me as easily. I have to say that I've completed and failed the challenge all at the same time!

Towards the start of the week, I didn't let anxiety get to me, at all, and was doing so well but towards the end of this week, I had a few palpitations, which isn't great. However, in the grand scheme of things, I think that I've succeeded more so than been defeated!

Also, this week I decided to do all the things that I had needed to for AGES and those things that life tends to get in the way of! I feel like I have finally got into a schedule with regards to YouTubing and Blogging. It's refreshing!

I made this little collage this week, and I have set it as my Desktop background to constantly remind me! :)

So, for this week's challenge's, I have decided on two.

Firstly, is last week's challenge. To again, stop sweating the small stuff. It seems so easy but can be a challenge - Last week proved it!

Secondly, is to prepare for Winter. By that I mean, I want to switch out my current skincare/beauty regime for one more suited to Winter. (Also, I want to get some thicker duvets to make the temperature change that little bit more bearable and cosy!)

What are your challenge's for this week?

Urban Decay Naked Palette | Review

Hello lovelies,

Today I thought that I would do a review of one of the most talked about palettes in the beauty YouTube/ beauty blogosphere. It is, of course, the Urban Decay Naked palette. This palette burst into the scene this year and since then, everyone has been going wild for it.

The original palette's packaging was of a cardboard material, however since then, Urban Decay has revamped it and now it is a faux suede material.

The Autumn Tag

Hello lovelies,

Today I thought I would do a tag, as i haven't done one in quite a while!
I thought I'd make it seasonal and then I seen this floating around the blogosphere, so here it is: The Autumn tag!

1. Favourite thing about it?
I love cosy nights in front of the fire, with a big woolly jumper and a cup of tea!

2. Favourite drink?
It's got to be a nice cup of tea. Sounds boring, but it's bliss.

3. Favourite scent/candle?
Anything with a slight festive scent, like cinnamon or spiced apple!

4. Best lipstick?
I am absolutely loving Rimmel Kate moss lipstick range in the shade 107. It's a gorgeous burghandy colour. Love it for autumn!

5. Go to moisturiser?
Origins Make A Difference plus. If you have oily skin, like me, it's the perfect balance between nourishing but without making your skin more oily.

6. Go to colours for the eyes?

7. Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?
This is a difficult one but I love my music, but Katie Sky, Lewis Watson, or Ben Howard! All incredible artists!

8. Favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots and scarf combo)?
Woolley/Slouchey jumpers, with a nice pair of jeans and boots! So simple but just beautiful! Also, hats. I just love hats. And snoods. I love snoods too! haha.

9. Autumn treat?
Don't know tbh. There's nothing I want at the moment tbh.

10. Favourite place to be?
At home. If I'm sat with my MAC, a cup of tea on a cold autumn night tucked up all cosy, I am one happy girl!

Courtesy of we heart it.

I tag you all to do this!

The Weekend Post | Week 1

Hello lovelies,

As some of you may remember, a while ago I did a series on here called 'Motivational Monday'. Well, after the amazing response I got from that, I thought I would do something similar again. This series is going to be at the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, but since I'm putting up a new video on my YouTube channel tomorrow, I thought I'd make it today.

It's going to be quite similar to the 'Motivational Monday' series, however, with a slight twist. I am going to set myself a challenge every week. Not challenges like Skydiving, but little challenges.

So, how has your week been?
I am currently sitting in bed looking out at a very cold September day all tucked up under the covers, while writing this. Bliss. I love Autumn. It's probably my favourite season. As much as I love sunny days by the beach, there's nothing better than watching a movie with a cup of tea on a winter's night. To me, it doesn't get much better.

Courtesy of weheartit.com

So, challenge time! This week, I am going to challenge myself to stop 'Sweating the Small stuff'.
I do this ALOT and I know it's stupid. I shouldn't worry, so that's my little challenge: Stop worrying over things I don't need to.

I'd love to know what you're little challenge for this week is!
Let me know!

MAC's 'Ruby Woo' Lipstick | Review

Hello lovelies,

So, today I am back with a review, which has been talked about so much over the past few months.
It is MAC's 'Ruby Woo' Lipstick.
Ever since MAC released this as a limited edition, there has been so much demand for it and every time I went onto the MAC website, it was always sold out. That's why I was so happy when I was at a MAC counter and seen it. I made sure I snapped it up! However, I think that they have since put it in the permanent line, so fret not, it is available on the website now.

Little Life Updates

 Hello, you lovely bunch!

So, today I thought I would do a little catchup blogpost, since it's been a while!

So, I guess the first and biggest thing, for me, was that I got a tattoo.
Now, after having anxiety for so long, I wanted to get a tattoo with meaning and since my anxiety had been getting the best of me recently, I wanted a constant reminder that I can beat it! So here it is..

The Quote is from the beginning title of the Movie, 'The Great Gatsby", which is one of my favourite novels. The Quote says; "A life lived in fear, is a life half lived.'
As soon as I seen the quote, I knew it was what I wanted for my first tattoo.

The next update for you's is that i went to Derby for a week. One friday afternoon, I decided that I wanted to get fitter, healthier and, in general, be happier. So, a few weeks later, I booked a health retreat. This wasn't your typical 'Spa Retreat', this was 6 hours of exercise per day! Which, for anyone, would be challenging but, looking back on it - I loved it! I will be doing a full review on it very soon!

My Certificate!

All in all, I have SO much more to tell you's but these are the 2 main things! I can't believe that I am back blogging!

Until next time..

L'Oreal 'Wild Ombre' Hair Colouring Kit

Hello lovelies,

Recently, I decided to lighten my hair slightly. I have only ever had my hair coloured professionally at a salon so, for me, this was quite scary, but I just decided to go for it.

The kit I used was L'Oreal's 'Wild Ombre' hair colour kit. The first thing I did when I was colouring my hair was to get a few essentials. These included; An old towel, a shampoo targeted for coloured hair, a mirror, a hair mask and some hair oil.

The shampoo that I choose was the L'Oreal EverPure Range. These are free of sulphates, which I love because I didn't want to damage my hair any more considering I was about to apply bleach to my hair!

The process itself of applying the bleach, could not have been easier. If you are wanting to get the ombre look, I would recommend using tin foil and wrapping it around pieces of the hair after applying the bleach. This will simply help the colour to stay on the hair better. For me, because I only wanted to lighten my hair, I left my hair.

Once the colour had been applied to the ends.
Because I wanted there to be a gradient effect, I applied the colour on the ends of my hair first and waited 10-15 minutes. I then applied more colour from chin level down to the ends. This will result in a gradient effect, waited a further 20-25 minutes and then washed my hair.

I dried my hair, as normal, by just applying some hair oil on the ends - I'm currently loving Macadamia oil. And this was the result!

As you can see from above, my hair is lighter towards the roots. Just slightly lightened, but effective.

As you can see, ends are slightly softer and blonder, also.

Overall, for the price of the colouring kit, the quality and end result, I am happy with the result and would definitely use this kit again.

Have you ever coloured your hair at home before?

7 June 2013

Clarins Cleanser & Toner | Review

Hello you lovely lot!
How are you's?

I firstly want to apologize for my absence as of late - I've been super busy.
Anyway, today is a review of Clarins Cleansing Milk and Toning Lotion, which I've had for about 4-5 months.

Motivational Monday | Week 12

Hello guys,

It's Motivational Monday week 12 - Can you believe that it's been 12 weeks?! Crazy.

This week, I've been having to make decisions. One of the things, I've recently been having to decide is my future and I'm sure, many of you's know, deciding what you want to do for the rest of your life, is not easy.
It sometimes can feel like you're being pushed and pulled in so many different directions that it's not easy to make a decision.

I really loved this picture because sometimes when you make a big decision, there's no drum roll - We just have to trust ourselves.

What's your dream career?

Origins 'Out Of Trouble' 10 Minute Mask | Review

Hello guys,
It's Friday! What have you's all got planned for this weekend?
I'm thinking about going for a Picnic with the family.

Anyway, today is a review of Origins - namely a clay mask. Recently, my skin hasn't been very good - I've been getting a lot of breakouts and one day I decided I had enough.

So I went to my nearest Origins counter and explained to the girl, basically, that I needed a complete change of my skin routine.

She recommended many products which I will try very soon, but I got a couple of products and this was one.

Motivational Monday | Week 11

Hello guys,
How are you's? I hope that you's are all good.

It's Motivational Monday time - Let me know if you like these posts because I'm still trying to arrange what posts on what days etc., so let me know.

Last week, I ticked one thing off my bucket list.
I went to see Beyoncé in concert - She was amazing! I couldn't believe that I was seeing one of the greatest performers in the world live.

I loved this little picture:

I think that sometimes people think that the entire world is against them, but I've realized that if you try to see the silver lining, it helps.

My little resolutions are:

Make a change - I want to start changing the layout/blogposts on this blog. I usually blog on a Monday and a Friday, but I want to know if that's working? You're opinions are appreciated, so let me know what you think.

Plan - I say this all the time but I want to plan my next few weeks blogposts, so if there's any reviews/type of blogposts, you want to read, let me know.

What are your little resolutions?

Motivational Monday | Week 10

Well, hello there lovelies.
Happy May Day!

I hope that you's are all having a lovely weekend.
It's Motivational Monday week 10.
I cannot believe how quickly 10 weeks have went. I feel like it was just yesterday that was excited for Spring and now it's in full swing!

Last week I went to a Dior counter and tried out some of the products. When the ladies discovered that I was a blogger, they encouraged me to do a make-up course which I am hoping to do. I think that sometimes in life, you have to decide what you want to do.
As much as some people have their entire lives planned out, many don't. I didn't.

That was until I went to Dior. The ladies said that if I didn't do a make-up course it'd, 'Be a waste.'
It's nice when your family encourages you to live your dream but when a complete stranger believes in your dream, it's really motivating. So thank you to the lovely ladies at the Dior counter. They have also invited me back to have a first look at the new Summer collection, which I'll be blogging about very soon.

Motivational Monday | Week 9

Alright M'dear?

It's Motivational Monday time!

I really liked the image above because I think that it's something that we all do from time is compare ourselves to the latest celeb or reality star.
I know I do.

It's one of those things that we sometimes, can't help but to because there's always these images of skinny models on magazine covers and as women/young women, we automatically compare ourselves to them. It's not right.
We need to learn that we are all different, but that's not a bad thing. If we were all skinny models, it'd be a very boring world.

I am currently eating healthier and even just eating healthier, I feel more confident because I know that I am doing something for my health which I will still appreciate in years from now.

Usually, I do little resolutions of the week, but the only resolutions that I have this week are to eat healthy.

What's are your little resolutions?

Benefit's Fake Up | Review

Hello you lovely lot!
How are you's all? Good, I hope.

Recently, I made a few purchases on feelunique.com, which I love.
One of the offers was to get a free sample of Benefit's newest concealer - 'Fake Up'.
So, I thought I'd do a mini review of it.

The little sample of it, shown below, explains how the product is different.

My initial thoughts were, it is slightly orange. When I seen it on Benefit's website, it looks fairly brightening and light, however, it's the opposite. I got it in Medium and quite frankly, it is far too orange for me. I am an ivory in Benefit's Hello Flawless.

The one good thing about this is the formula. It is really moisturizing and it does not crease, which is so important when choosing concealer.

Overall though, I do prefer Benefit's 'Industrial Strength' concealer.
This concealer isn't great for matching to skin tone and doesn't really conceal under-eye circles but, perhaps in a lighter colour, it may work better.

Have you tried this?
