So, today I am back with a review, which has been talked about so much over the past few months.
It is MAC's 'Ruby Woo' Lipstick.
Ever since MAC released this as a limited edition, there has been so much demand for it and every time I went onto the MAC website, it was always sold out. That's why I was so happy when I was at a MAC counter and seen it. I made sure I snapped it up! However, I think that they have since put it in the permanent line, so fret not, it is available on the website now.
Ruby Woo is a matte lipstick and is amazingly pigmented, (No surprises there as it's a MAC creation!), but what I love about this product is it's longevity on the lips. MAC are famed for their lipsticks for the great colour range and pigmentation, but I personally think that some of the lipsticks tend to wear off fairly quickly. Ruby Woo, however, was a welcomed change. It almost stains the lips which, I am not opposed to!
It would be great for any special occasions, where you don't want to be checking your face every 5 minutes incase any smudging has gone on! This will be perfect.
The one con of this product, I would say, is that if it does smudge (Which is very rare!), because of the pigmentation and the fact that it is a beautiful bright colour, it isn't easy to conceal! However, if you line the lips first and apply a lip sealer which will promise a long-lasting colour, then you should be fine! Just make sure that you moisturise your lips well before as the lip seal can be quite drying for lips.
All in all, though, I do really love Ruby Woo and I am planning on wearing it to a family get-together with a monochrome outfit, to give that pop of colour. My love for MAC lipsticks continues!
Ruby Woo is available from MAC, priced at £15, here.
A great lip coat to lock that lippy in place is available here.
