Building the foundations..

Hello lovelies,

Today I thought that I'd start a new series on here.
We already have the Weekend post which from now on will be going up every Sunday!
But today I thought I'd start a new series in which I talk you through my favourite products for everyday. So, I thought I'd start of with Foundation!

So, if you are subscribed to me on YouTube (Link Here! Wink Wink, Nudge nudge!) then you'll know that I change my foundation like the weather! I love so many foundations and it honestly depends on how my skin is that day, as it can be very temperamental! So, I choose 2 because, well..I couldn't choose between them!

So, the first foundation that I love is MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. I got this not so long ago and I love it because it's fairly similar to MAC's Studio Sculpt however, it's less of a gel formula and it's not as heavy coverage. However, longevity is just the same! I love it for days when my skin is misbehaving and nothing looks right, I pop this on and I instantly feel that my skin looks 100 times better. I'm in shade NW15, which is perfect for me as I have quite a lot of natural redness in my skin which this cancels out.

The second foundation which I love and wear regularly, is Revlon's ColourStay foundation for Oily/Combination skin. This is one of those foundations that I always come back to because I love it so much. First, the formula: It is designed for those with oily/combination skin which is perfect because with a lot of Foundations I try, they're great for everything else until it comes to longevity and it tends to wear off the skin within a few hours. (There is also a version for Normal/Dry skin).

This, however, is the opposite. As soon as you apply this to your hand, you have to work pretty fast with it as it tends to stain. I've worn this for hot summer's days and it's not faded at all. If you have oily skin, regardless of price, I would recommend this over any other foundation I've tried. It's great for the price and the quality, in my opinion, matches some luxury brands.

Now, onto how I apply these products! For foundations I tend to use only the one line of brushes. They are so well known and I'm sure every beauty blogger has spoken of these at one time or another but it is of course the Real Techniques brushes by Sam Chapman.

The brush I use is the buffing brush which does what it says on the tin. It literally buffs every little bit of foundation into the skin. The brushes themselves are amazing: They apply beautifully, they wash and dry well and price-wise are pretty decent for the quality of the product!

So, those are the products I use to create the foundations of my face!

Let me know what you'd like me to talk about next week? Eyes, lips, nails etc..?

MAC's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation is available here.
