I am one of the most impatient people when it comes to painting nails.
I love when my nails are dry and have a glossy topcoat but waiting for them to dry is my worst nightmare.
To me, it is SO boring.
I'd heard a lot about 'Impress Stick On Manicure' nails and had been meaning to try them for a while but just forgot. I recently went into Boots and decided to give them a whirl. I bought them in my favourite colour on nails: Red.
On first impression, I liked the packaging and the nails come in a little nail polish bottle (Dupe!).
It's quirky but I really like it. I then had a little read over how to apply the nails and began to apply.
The one thing I noticed with these, is that they have a peel-off tab on the back of the nails, to reveal the adhesive. They claim to not damage your nails, unlike regular nail adhesive. I really liked the concept of this however, when it came to removing the peel-off tabs they weren't the easiest to remove. At times, it almost broke the nail!
Once I got the hang of peeling back the tab, I applied the nails themselves. These were the shortest length of nails however, they were far too long for me so I trimmed them down.
I have to admit, I loved the end result as they don't look like fake acrylic nails - They give a similar finish to the Barry M Jelly polishes, which I really like.
They claim to last up to a week on the nails however, I would tend to be dubious as I wore these for 4-5 hours and they kept getting caught in my hair, when I was fixing it. I removed them after this so I can't comment on longevity. Removing them was simple and I didn't notice any damage to my nails, which is always a bonus!
In general, I think these are great if you're going to a special event and haven't got time to paint your nails. These do look amazing on the nails and I would repurchase these if I was in a hurry but for everyday use, I would rather paint my nails!
Have you ever tried acrylic nails?
