This may come as a shock to some of you but I have never tried Estee Lauder.
I don't really know why. I guess I've just always gravitated more towards MAC or Urban Decay but recently I decided to try out a few of their products, one of them being their Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in 'Red Ego' which I can only describe as the most beautiful vampy red I've ever seen.
LOOK AT IT! Beautiful, right?
Estee Lauder's packaging never seems to let the side down. It just screams pure luxury. Obviously this isn't an everyday purchase but as a one-off, it's just gorgeous.
First of is the amazing packaging which, in itself, is enough of a reason to buy this. It's the Estee lauder's classic Navy and Gold coloured Lipstick with a magnetic lid. It has the 'Estee Lauder' on the body of the product which I know isn't something overly 'WOW' but I actually love the little things like that! Is it just me?
Along with the brand name on the lid, I'm obsessed with the packaging! Let's talk about the important thing: Is it any good?
YES. The colour is absolutely gorgeous. I think we can all agree on that! There's more to this little gem the colour though! The pigmentation is amazing - I would say better than MAC's because it seems to keep it's colour no matter what as it slightly stains the lips, which is exactly what I need when going for a red lip!
The formula of this is what made it go from a great Lipstick to the Lipstick that I want to wear every hour of every day. You see the difference? The formula is just wow. It has a matte finish yet feels glossy on the lips which makes it super moisturising and means it won't damage/dry out your lips, which is always a bonus. We've all been there!
I paired it with a bold cat eye flick as I feel that these go together beautifully. You can really see how gorgeous the colour and finish is of this! Overall, I have been absolutely loving this little Lipstick! It's such a brilliant product! Admittedly, not an everyday colour/purchase but for a special occasion, it's perfect. You know that this will last and won't budge until you want it to!
Have you tried Estee Lauder Lipsticks?
